The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art presented Get Smart at SMoCA, its first progressive party and benefit. A hip homage to the 1960s, Get Smart at SMoCA began with a walking treasure hunt through downtown Scottsdale, followed by cocktails (including a vintage drink designed exclusively for SMoCA by Dr. Cocktail), the music of A Touch of Blues and a silent auction back at the Museum. The party then moved to the nearby James Hotel, where guests enjoyed a bistro dinner, live auction and dancing to 1960s sounds with DJ Mr. P-Body. Cory McCloskey of Fox 10 was the celebrity host for the event.Suggested attire was1960s mod or secret-agent chic. All proceeds benefited SMoCA’s exhibition and education programs.

Get Smart at SMoCA was sponsored by James Hotel, London Gold, Merrill Lynch, The RoomStore, Morton’s, My Florist Café & Bar, Lee and Mike Cohn, Ali and Nargess Salass, Acura North Scottsdale, Republic Residential Mortgage, Trader Joe’s, AZ Wine Company, Azadi Fine Rugs, SRP, Clock Doctor, and Parada Expo Center.

Special thanks went out to SMoCA board members and event co-chairs Debbe Goldstein and Carol Nunzio (pictured below).
