The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art [SMoCA] presented SMoCA Nights: 'Luna' on Thursday, November 9, 2006 from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am. The event organizers were thrilled to host the band The Year of Acceleration who came up from Tucson, Arizona for a special SMoCA Nights performance. The fashion show featured the captivating designs of eight very talented Valley designers including Alison Leigh, Alex Garcia, Desiato Khan, Amy Ronhovde, Jose Trifilio, Elizabeth Albert, Tara Myers and Angela Johnson. The AlphaMonsters art collective performed outside SMoCA and in the SCPA atrium alongside the Maya II public art installation by Jarvis Rockwell. Mark Newport did an artist superhero performance and the audience enjoyed music by 'The Mod Squad' DJs (P-Body, William Reed, and Miss Nina Rouge).
