“Spicy” kicked off events with an outdoor performance featuring the Latin sounds and moves of L.J.M. Records, Salvaje Dance Company, and Samba Dance with costumes by Urban Planet. Inside the Museum, DJ Maji and Raul Reina spun their own special mix of music throughout the evening. Other highlights included a runway show by Arizona fashion designers Angela Johnson, nihilo. by Omar Call, Nebulosity by Amy Hagedorn, Ouma by Monique Martinez, LaZazA by Tiffany Regacho, Indi visualism by Yuka, Brian Linger, Soldierleisure by Andy Brown, and Jerome designer Christy Fisher.

As always, guests enjoyed free hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, Tarot card readings by Ozma, free door prizes, and other rotating surprises. The Museum’s summer exhibitions included: “southwestNET: PHX/LA,” “Jin Soo Kim: Twenty Years, 1983-2003,” and “Natural Histories: Realism Revisited.”
