“SMoCA Nights” has become one of the Valley’s most popular after-hours events, where cutting-edge fashion, music, and contemporary art take center stage. “Tart: Winter SMoCA Nights” at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art featured a runway show with fashions fresh from the studio of talented Arizona designers Irina Strelnikova Bremmon, Griselda Avalos, Donna Eisley of Sage & Sage Millinery, Tiffe Fermaint, Rodrigo Chavez Isidoro of Isi D Horus, Angela Johnson, Camille Messina, Tee Roy of Debris Blanc and Rhonda Zayas.

Live music was provided by the band Hell on Heels, DJ Maji and DJ Organic. “Tart” also featured performances by Sour Patch Experimental Dance and psychic Tarot readings by Ozma.

The Museum’s exhibitions included: “Robert Indiana: The Story of Love,” “Philip C. Curtis: Watercolors,” “Pioneering Spirits: Modern and Contemporary Art from Area Collections” and “At Home with Ozzie and Harriet: Mid-Century Design.”

“Tart: Winter SMoCA Nights” was organized by the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and was sponsored in part by Desert Living, Java Magazine, Angela Johnson, LabelHorde, Nikki Marcus, Orange Table Cafe, Paradise Valley Whole Foods Market, Phoenician Health Group, Phoenix New Times, Phosphor Photography, Robert Saenz, Swell Pro Audio, Urban Hair, Casey Wallin, WHERE Phoenix/Scottsdale and Rhonda Zayas.
