By popular request, is happy to offer , a new way to rejuvenate your body and mind at the end of the work week. Four Fridays this spring, enjoy evenings of jazz with Arizona contemporary jazz artists, drinks, hors d'oeuvres and conversations with curators, artists and other guest hosts. Alternate the next month and relax at the Museum with evenings of yoga with "celebrity" yogis and yoginis, organic refreshments and snacks and casual discussion of the exhibitions by friends of the arts who incorporate yoga and art in their daily activities.

Let loose this Friday to enjoy live music by The Hot Club of Phoenix, performing a style of fun, sultry jazz often called gypsy swing or gypsy jazz. The band blends the influence of gypsy swing with their own musical roots in classical chamber music, flamenco, heavy metal, and a variety of folk genres. Hot Club of Phoenix is a core trio, featuring guitarists Chuck Hulihan and Ryan Vance alongside Armand Ramirez on upright bass.
Guests will be able to indulge in cocktails from the cash bar and savory appetizers provided by Kona Grill. To satisfy their sweet-tooth cravings, chic & decadent gourmet cupcakes baked by Sugar Blossom Cupcakes will be on hand. Visitors will also get the behind-the-scenes scoop on all of SMoCA's new summer exhibitions with guest speaker, Museum director, Susan Krane. |

Yoga at SMoCA this Friday will be led by yogi Michael Warner and afterwards, get ready to play with Gregory Sale, conceptual artist and yoga afficiando, as he engages the group in a participant-led experimental meditation. The structure utilizes instructional scores, a gaming device and incorporates violinist, Lindsey Phillips. The activity diverges from the traditional structure of meditation and introduces the unpredictability and excitement of the happening.
Available for guests after the yoga session will be complimentary chair massages with Lo Lana Noa; enchanting harp music by The Harp Foundation; clairvoyant readings by the famed Ozma; and delicious organic food generously provided by the spectacular Mandala Tea Room. Come relax and enjoy this fun and rejuvenating night at SMoCA!
